As my journey towards learning Korean continues I have increased my learning time by using the language app Duolingo to help me with basic Korean grammar. By using this apps I am able to not only learn new thing but it also as a device of review for previous lectures taught and as a tool for achieving and learning new vocabularies.On this week’s lesson it continues with self introduction starting with how to say “I” “name” adding a bit of review with last week’s lesson on country name. There’s also a repetition on how to use formal and informal languages like the saying “ibnida”and “-yo” when speaking to someone elder or as a respectful form. As the lesson continued there was explanation of familial term such as sibling and parents. Each section was consisted of sentences on how to use each new terms.
I also learned the new term 의 which means “of ” however, when it is used in the Korean language it can not be used alone.The word must be used as a second phrase for example it can be used with the words 지 ji and 나 Na to form the words 의지 will and 나의 Naui my.

(이)나 can be attached to words to create a few different meanings depending on the usage. A common usage of ~(이)나 is to indicate that it hasn’t been decided which noun/object will be acted on.
Adding ~기 to the stem of a verb changes that verb into a noun. The noun can technically be used like any other noun. You can use ~기 to turn a clause into a noun however you cannot use ~기 to describe nouns
